Lions, the great hunters!

About lions' hunting process.
Lions are carnivores and eat meat. They can take down quite big animal. Some of their favorite prey includes water buffalo, antelope, wildebeest, impala, and zebras. Hunting generally is done in the dark by the lionesses.
They often hunt in groups of two or three, using teamwork to stalk, surround, and kill their prey. When the prey is big animal, male lion participation in the hunting is inevitable: giraffe, rhino, etc.

Smaller prey is eaten at the location of the hunt, so is shared among the hunters. Larger kills are dragged to the pride area. Pride members often behave aggressively toward each other as each tries to consume as much food as possible. If hunting is near to end successfully by lionesses males have a tendency to dominate the kill. Males are more likely to share this with the cubs than with the lionesses, but males rarely share food they have killed by themselves.

After they feed, lions may not hunt for a few days. But when they eat, they usually eat all of their prey at once.
